Role Overview:
We are seeking a Sales Head – Domestic Market who is strategic, execution-focused, and obsessed with driving revenue. The ideal candidate comes with a strong background in B2B inside sales, has sold to SMEs or financial buyers, and knows how to convert freemium users into paying customers. A proven history in outbound prospecting, pipeline building, and leading high-performance sales teams is critical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a high-performing sales team focused on Indian SMEs and mid-market clients.
- Define and implement sales strategies to convert freemium users into paid plans through upselling and cross-selling.
- Own the entire sales funnel: from outreach → call/demo → conversion → expansion.
- Drive cold calling, LinkedIn prospecting, email outreach, and local networking — not limited to just phone-based selling.
- Monitor and optimize daily call volumes, demo frequency, and lead engagement metrics.
- Build, track, and improve the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Work closely with marketing & product teams to improve lead quality, pricing feedback, and in-product nudges.
- Mentor and scale the sales team across geographies, verticals, and segments.
- Establish and track key performance KPIs: CAC, conversion %, MRR/ARR growth, upsell rate, and funnel drop-offs.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of B2B or inside sales experience, preferably in fintech, SaaS, payments, lending, or finance-related industries.
- Prior experience in IndiaMart, Just Dial, Bajaj Finance, IndiaBulls, or similar high-volume sales environments is a must.
- Experience in selling freemium or product-led SaaS is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of sales pipeline management, CRM tools (e.g., Zoho, HubSpot), and funnel metrics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and team management skills.
- High accountability and action-bias; thrives in a fast-growth startup environment.
Good to Have:
- Knowledge of Indian MSME ecosystem and digital payments space.
- Exposure to channel partnerships, onboarding resellers or agents.
- Experience in running outbound SDR teams or managing inside sales call centers.
